What you can analyze from Notion

Sreniq treats your Notion database as a normalised tabular dataset and lets you ask questions in plain English. Typical sources our customers connect from Notion:

  • task and sprint databases
  • CRM and pipeline databases with stages and amounts
  • OKR and roadmap trackers
  • research and meeting note repositories
  • applicant tracking and hiring pipelines

How to connect Notion to Sreniq

Sreniq uses Notion's standard OAuth flow — read-only scopes, no write access, and tokens stored encrypted server-side. Set up takes about a minute.

  1. Click 'Connect Notion'

Sreniq opens Notion's hosted authorization page in a new window. You sign in to your workspace and choose which pages and databases to share.

  2. Pick the databases to share

Notion's permission picker lets you grant access to specific databases only — Sreniq cannot see anything you do not explicitly select.

  3. Choose a database to import

Sreniq calls Notion's search API for shared databases and lists them. Pick one and Sreniq pulls its schema and rows (paginated, capped at 5,000 rows per import).

  4. Ask questions in chat

Sreniq normalises titles, rich text, selects, multi-selects, dates, formulas, and timestamps into a tabular view, then your prompts drive chart generation.

Example questions you can ask

Once your Notion data is in Sreniq, you chat with it. Sreniq generates the right chart, table, or narrative for each question — you do not need to pick a visualisation first.

  • Show me sprint velocity over the last 8 weeks, grouped by team.
  • Summarise our hiring pipeline: where are candidates getting stuck?
  • Build a status-by-priority matrix for the engineering roadmap.
  • Which OKRs are off track this quarter and which owners are most behind?
  • Plot meetings per week against decisions captured — are we converting talk into action?

What you get

  • Auto-generated charts (line, bar, area, donut, table) sized for the question you asked
  • AI-written narrative — what the data says, not just how it looks
  • Key takeaways pulled out as headline insights
  • A public, shareable link you can send to teammates or embed
  • Light + dark themes and mobile-responsive output by default
  • All data stays in your session — Sreniq does not retain raw rows

Privacy and permissions

OAuth grants Sreniq read access only to the pages and databases you explicitly share during Notion's permission flow. Sreniq stores the access token encrypted server-side for the duration of your session and never sees pages you did not approve. Every upstream call goes through Sreniq's SafeFetch helper, which enforces a strict host allowlist, hard size caps, and per-hop redirect re-validation to defeat SSRF and redirect-rebind attacks. Sreniq does not sell or share your data with third parties.

Frequently asked questions

How fresh is the data?
Each import calls Notion's database query API live, so you see the current state of the database. Reconnect or click 'refresh' to pull updated rows.
Can I refresh on a schedule?
Sreniq imports on demand only — there is no background sync. Re-running the import from chat fetches the latest pages.
What property types are supported?
Title, rich text, number, select, multi-select, date, checkbox, email, URL, phone, formula (resolved value), created time, and last edited time. Other types are rendered as their string form.
How is auth secured?
OAuth uses Notion's standard authorization-code flow with a HMAC-signed state nonce, content-type guarded callbacks, and per-hop SSRF revalidation against the .notion.com host suffix.
